Terms and Conditions
(A) Terms and Conditions – ITS Used Hardware Sale
- All items sold through the ITS Used Hardware Sale are used and sold as-is. All sales are final and cannot be refunded, returned, exchanged, or supported.
- Devices offered for sale originate from Seneca computer labs that have been upgraded, or from laptops previously loaned to students through the IT Service Desk. Devices may show signs of normal use, including minor cosmetic wear or small scratches.
- All computers have been securely wiped and include a Windows operating system.
- Functional testing is limited to successful boot into Windows only. No additional testing, configuration, or technical support is provided after purchase.
- Packaging may vary. Some PC bundled units may be provided with a box; others may not. Purchasers are responsible for bringing a suitable bag or box to safely transport their device.

All devices must be picked up in person during the purchaser’s scheduled pickup appointment. -
Pickup Location:
Newnham Campus, Building C – Computing Commons, Room B2040 (2nd Floor) - On the day of pickup, purchasers must bring:
- Their OneCard
- Their purchase receipt or confirmation email
- Only the original purchaser listed on the order may collect the device. Purchasers should plan accordingly, as lineups may occur during pickup times.
- All proceeds from this sale support the Campaign for Students Endowed Bursary.
(B) Waiver of Liability – ITS Used Hardware Sale
By participating in the ITS Used Hardware Sale, I/we acknowledge and agree that Seneca Polytechnic shall not be held liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the pickup, moving, carrying, lifting, loading, or transportation of purchased equipment at Seneca Polytechnic, located at 1750 Finch Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, M2J 2X5.
All equipment is accepted on an as‑is basis. Seneca Polytechnic assumes no responsibility for damage to equipment during or after removal from the premises.
I/we acknowledge and accept the risks associated with handling and transporting equipment, including but not limited to minor injuries (scratches, bruises, strains), serious injuries (eye injury or loss of vision, bone or spinal injuries, concussion), and catastrophic injuries (paralysis or death).
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, I/we voluntarily waive and forfeit any right to bring a claim against Seneca Polytechnic for any reason related to the purchase, pickup, or use of the equipment.
